Useful tips
- Remember Ukraine is pretty safe country but only if you follow simple rules listed below
- Don't carry your passport and immigration card with you in Ukraine. Leave it at your room and have copies of the documents with you. If you lose it, you will have big problems leaving the country, police won't help in this situation! It takes up to 3-4 days to solve this situation with the embassy. You will need a special document from police too(hard to get in time).
- Never trust police in Ukraine! They will just want to het money from you. Always have copy of passport and immigration card with you.
- If go to any Ukrainian city don't stay in the suburbs or strange districts. Downtown is the safest place in all Ukrainian cities.

- Don't carry your wallet in a back pocket ( the easiest catch for pocket thiefs ) or in your jacket/suit inner pocket ( If you are in cafe and go restroom and leave your jacket hanging on the chair or some hooker you can get robbed).
- Never show your cash on the street, when exchanging money in bank you should count the sum and check if it's correct and hide it before exiting the building
- Never give money to beggers who try to persuade you in English and try to follow you. These beggers are working for criminals and get paid for begging, usually they work in the center of the town where there are many tourists. You might get in trouble if you do give them some change because you will be noticed having money.
- Try to avoid dark streets being alone
- It's much safer being with someone of your friends
- Be very careful in night clubs and discos, many bad people visit those place. Never try to meet a woman in a night club usually if a lady is going out to clubs without her friends or boy-friend she is not decent in 80% of the cases.
- If a lady comes up to you on the street speaking in English for instance and proposing some date or service better say bye to her! Nice decent Ukrainian lady would never do come up to you on the street offering something, it's usually prostitutes.
- Lock the entrance doors both if you are staying in a flat or hotel room.
